WhatCounts is an enterprise-class email marketing and personalization software company delivering 25B+ emails per year for clients in Media & Publishing, Retail, Financial Services, and Travel & Hospitality. WhatCounts is in the midst of a transformational period. With new resources and support from its acquisition by OSG, and merger with Windsor Circle, WhatCounts is integrating its technology across all touch points of the customer communication lifecycle. As part of this initiative the WhatCounts team is looking to add a Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (SE/SC) to its growing sales team to fuel its continued growth.
Sales Engineer/ Solutions Consultant (SE/SC)
We’re looking for a SE/SC responsible for matching WhatCounts’ Email Marketing platform to good-fit marketers, at upper mid-market and enterprise organizations in the verticals we serve. These marketers are smart, busy and constantly getting pitched new products. You must help extract technical requirements, conduct demos, and assist with RFP responses through a consultative sales process. This role will give you the opportunity to deliver value to prospects and customers, and replicate the proven success we’ve seen with the right-fit customers.
What Your Day Could Look Like:
Watch demo recordings and practice demonstrations of our products.
Participate in discovery calls with clients, asking technical diligence questions to ensure appropriate diligence for the company and
no surprises for clients after they sign up with us.
Help with RFP responses with appropriate technical content and solution use-cases.
Train the sales reps and account managers on our team on our products, technology.
Uncover the true technical challenges that these marketers are trying to solve, and help match them to the appropriate solutions, either ours or others in our partner network.
Assist sales reps and our onboarding team through the onboarding process, as needed, to ensure new clients are in a position to achieve success.
Keep up with industry trends and updates, and share value with your growing network of marketers.
You’re a Good Fit If:
You can put yourself in the potential client’s seat and help us perform good solution-ing/diligence.
You like the details, technology, how data flows between systems and identifying use cases/solutions.
You’re energetic, entrepreneurial, and independent
You’re passionate about what we do, and how it can impact our clients.
You can throw the red flag diplomatically to our reps, when we encounter clients who are not a good fit.
You can present and demo solutions that help clients resolve their challenges in an articulate way.
You have 5+ years of experience in a SE/SC role at a technology company (ideally Marketing Tech).
