In the next few releases, users of the WhatCounts platform can expect to see an overhaul of our reporting tools. We’re always looking to meet the needs of our customers, and we work diligently to optimize the platform according to their feedback.
We wanted to take a quick moment to share some of those changes users can expect to see beginning this week.
where we are now
Our current reporting essentially pulls all the data into one spot or “bucket,” regardless of what it represents.
where we’re going
Reporting data is one of the greatest tools in an email marketer’s belt. Analyzing the numbers behind a campaign’s performance provides valuable information about what sort of content will get your subscribers to interact with your emails. Great marketers will constantly review their data to see what’s working and what isn’t, and optimize their messaging in order to drive better results from their email channel.
Because we believe in the importance of leveraging reporting data to optimize email marketing, we’re updating our reporting tools in a way that will give marketers incredible insight into every level of their messaging.
Release 12.12 is the beginning of these reporting changes, and this is what platform users can expect to see after the update.
separate buckets
Rather than consolidate all reporting data into one bucket, this information will be separated into multiple buckets. API, automation, deployed, recurring — all this data will be tracked separately.
added overview pages
Because we’re separating this information into separate buckets, we’ll be adding new overview pages. After release 12.12, platform users will have access to not only an overview page for deployed campaigns, but also overview pages for recurring campaigns and API data.
Once updated, users will still be able to view the overall results of their recurring campaigns in a single report, and also, due to the individual tracking, be able to review the performance of each message in the series separately.
Likewise, because API data will be collecting in its own bucket, platform users will be able to dive into that data separately from other aspects of their messaging, allowing them to adjust API in accordance with its own performance.
updated campaign details page
We’re also updating the display of the campaign details pages:
As shown here, users will now have access to detailed information about API — if any were sent in a campaign — and will be able to make API adjustments based upon its own compiled data.
account billing report
We wanted to make the process for clients to get up-to-date billing information easier than it is currently. After the update, users will find a new “Billing” option under “Account Management.” Here, billing history will be displayed for the current month, plus the previous 12. If there are child accounts, users will have the ability to see the billing history of those as well.
Again, these changes will all be upcoming in the next few releases, beginning with this week’s. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your CSM or contact us at support@whatcounts.com.
