- Dave Tiley - Chairman
Dave Tiley has over 20 years of experience in technology innovation and business growth strategies.
Dave is currently an Operating Partner at The Riverside Company. His focus is on growing portfolio investments using his sales, marketing, and technology experience to help guide his companies as they grow into industry leaders. Prior to joining Riverside, he was a Senior Vice President of Celestica Inc., where he was responsible for building their global services business.
Prior to Celestica, Dave was founder, President and CEO of three software and service companies: Visionary Design Systems, IronCad and Alventive.
Dave has been fortunate to have success in building early stage technology companies, as well as leading turn-around efforts at large public corporations.
Dave is an engineering graduate of Purdue University, and currently serves on the Board of the School of Mechanical Engineering.

- Allen Nance - President and CEO
Allen Nance is a son, brother, husband, dad, entrepreneur, boxer, golfer, author, mentor and technology fanatic. From his rented house in 2000 he founded a company that a decade later would become WhatCounts. Through a series of innovative growth strategies that included seven acquisitions, the company has grown into one of the largest email marketing firms in the world delivering billions of targeted messages on four continents in over 35 languages.
Through the years the company has received numerous awards including three times being named an Inc. 500 company representing the fastest growing enterprises in the United States. In 2009, the Technology Association of Georgia named WhatCounts one of the state’s most innovative companies. The company has also consistently ranked among Atlanta’s Pacesetters representing the city’s fastest growing private companies. In 2010 WhatCounts partnered with a global multi-billion dollar private equity firm to help the team reach new heights.
Georgia Trend magazine selected Allen in 2004 for its "40 under 40" feature, which recognizes rising young business leaders from across the state. In 2005, Allen authored Inside the Minds: Technology Enabled Marketing – a Prerequisite for Survival, published by Aspatore Books. In 2009, Allen was featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle as a "Rising Business Leader under 40".
He received his B.S. degree from the University of West Georgia and his M.S. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Allen is also active in the community. In 2007, he founded the Southern Foundation, which raises money and provides scholarships to teens who are the first in their family to attend college. He is active in Young President’s Organization (YPO) as well as helping launch new businesses through Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and FlashPoint accelerator program.

- Mark Pigott - Chief Financial Officer
Mark Pigott has over 20 years of experience in finance predominantly in technology companies and joined WhatCounts in 2010 as chief financial officer.
Prior to joining WhatCounts, he was vice president of finance and operations for Enablence Systems, a provider of fiber access equipment for the telecommunications industry. Mark was a founder of Wave7 Optics, also a fiber access company, and served as its chief financial officer until its acquisition by Enablence. Previously Mark served in various management roles at ARRIS International including controller of financial reporting.
Mark started his career at Coopers & Lybrand in San Francisco. He received his B.S. degree with a concentration in accountancy from Santa Clara University and is a CPA.
- Doug Broujos - Vice President of Services
Doug Broujos joined the WhatCounts team in 2011 as the Vice President of Services. His primary focus is on providing management support to the account management, technical account management, deliverability and professional services personnel that provide outstanding support to WhatCounts clients. His team is focused on delivering the best in client services including onboarding and setup, trainings, teaching best practices, platform support and guidance, deliverability expertise, and professional services assistance including strategic, creative and campaign production. Doug also oversees the Baltimore operations for the company.
Prior to joining WhatCounts, the 20-year online marketing veteran was senior vice president of client services at TIG Global/MICROS, a hospitality-focused internet marketing company. At TIG Global, Doug led client teams focused on client consultation, service, and performance. Before joining TIG Global, he was senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce at 3Di Technologies, an international GIS data management company with clients in the banking, telecommunications, and travel sectors. In addition to leading the company’s marketing strategy, Doug managed the operational integration for five acquisitions, and was responsible for creating national client-service teams and further enhancing customer relationships. Early in his career, he founded one of the first commercial Internet Service Providers in Maryland, later acquired by a CBS-TV affiliate.

- Mike Lynch - Vice President of Technical Services
Mike Lynch is Vice President of Technical Services at WhatCounts where he manages the company’s technical account management team and is instrumental in the development and direction of the company’s messaging platform. His team is responsible for training, implementation and support of WhatCounts’ customers.
Prior to working at WhatCounts, he was co-founder and President of Sevista Technologies, a leader in email marketing technology and distribution systems. He worked as a Sales Engineer at IBM/Tivoli where he supported the company’s Network Monitoring, Software Distribution and Job Scheduling products. He also spent seven years at Sales Technologies where he developed and deployed the company’s sophisticated Sales Force Automation software. Mike received his B.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology with specialization in Databases and Software Engineering.
Mike stays educated and updated on all aspects of email marketing and speaks on the topic at various conferences and customer events. He is also active in the local community. He coaches Little League Baseball and is Vice President of the Gainsborough Club.
- Tim Muenchen - Vice President of Sales
Tim Muenchen is the Vice President of Sales for WhatCounts. He manages the company’s lead generation, business development and sales engineering teams and is responsible for new client acquisition strategy and top line revenue growth.
Prior to WhatCounts, Tim led national sales teams at PossibleNOW, Covista, Telco Communications Group, and Business Telecom Inc. He has an impeccable 20 year track record of increasing shareholder value in public and private companies through building productive and profitable sales teams. Tim considers his greatest accomplishments to be his work at PossibleNOW and Telco Communication Group. At PossibleNOW, he led the company from an early stage start up to be the nationally recognized leader and #1 brand for direct marketing compliance. At Telco, he built a pre-IPO start up business unit to $60M in revenue in 4 years.
Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Georgia. He is an avid runner, fitness enthusiast, and Arsenal soccer fan. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and 3 daughters. Tim is also active in the community where he serves as an EDGE teen mentor and MOSB board member at St Brigid Catholic Church.

- Pete Looney - Vice President of DevOps
Pete Looney is Vice President of DevOps at WhatCounts where his focus is on maintaining and improving the stability and speed of the WhatCounts systems. By integrating best practices from development, IT, and QA, Pete is leading the implementation of continuous integration, seamless deployment and a tight feedback loop between operations and development. He also oversees the WhatCounts datacenters and remote installations.
Pete has 20 years of experience in information technology, including 15 years spent working in software development. He began his career in the library technology world, but quickly moved over to software development. He spent several years helping to build REI.com, worked on VPN appliances at Aventail (now Dell’s SonicWall), and worked as an industry consultant.
Pete has a degree in Classics from the University of Texas, Austin and an MLIS from UCLA. Besides code and books, Pete enjoys watching movies, rooting for the Packers, and playing with Legos (with his kids).
- Bill Donges - Vice President of Development
Bill Donges is the Vice President of Development for the WhatCounts Professional Platform. He is responsible for all aspects of feature development including gathering of requirements, scheduling, development, quality assurance and product management.
Prior to WhatCounts Bill was a Senior Developer at Loyaltyworks where he was responsible for designing and developing a customer retention email platform used by Earthlink. He was also the Lead Developer on a portal for generating and managing warranties at WaCA (Warranty Corporation of America). He cut his teeth as a developer at companies such as DataSystems Group, Enron and later Dow Chemical.
Bill currently holds B.S. in Environmental Science from Auburn University where he worked for the City of Auburn as a Firefighter. He enjoys running and reading history and technology books while keeping up with his two daughters. He is also a volunteer at North Point Church.
